TIME UPON A TIME
The Daido Bros' first solo exhibition in Japan will be held at PURPLE.
The Daido Bros are twin photographers, Yuki and Koki, who run the publishing label Sakura no Hana Honpo and have published many books of their own work. They have repeatedly taken individual photographs and collaborated to mix, pick up, weave and join these images together to create a unique image. The exhibition 'TIME UPON A TIME' consists of a selection of photographs from the images they have accumulated over the last ten years since meeting the camera, as well as a collection of handmade photo books, almost all of which are original.
They weave through time and leave traces of the images they have accumulated. This act creates an image of time that never stops moving forward.

Daido Bro
Born in 1994, Yamanashi, raised in Osaka. Unit formed by twin brothers Yuki and Koki. Currently based in Kyoto. They found the publishing house 'Sakura no Hana Books'. They work together to create photographic books and also work independently under their own names. The two have made more than 40 books, including zines, and in 2021 they published a photo book in a limited edition of 100 copies, "My name is My name is …”
