Kazuhei Kimura

counterpoint

PURPLE is pleased to present Kazuhei Kimura's second solo exhibition ‘counterpoint’.

The 'Alice in Wonderland Syndrome' is a condition in which various symptoms appear, such as objects appearing different in size and perspective from reality, and abnormal colour vision and sense of time.
Photographs made from childhood experiences that are still fading will be presented in the PURPLE space.

This exhibition is part of a series that has been held once a year since it was first presented in Tokyo the year before last, and for Kimura, repeatedly incorporating a single theme into the exhibition form, while changing his approach each time, is like a statement that is added to each time, and just as fading. It is as if Kimura were ruminating on a fading symptom and writing it down.

We invite you to discover the contours of the sensory world Kimura continues to explore.
