本プログラムは、写真をめぐる言葉を手がかりに、韓国語と日本語の表現の違いを体験的に考えてみるワークショップです。

今回は「撮る」という言葉を入口に、韓国語で写真を語る際によく使われる表現や言い回しを紹介します。日本語では一語で済んでしまう行為が、韓国語では状況や対象によって異なる言葉で表されることから、写真を見ること・撮ることへの感覚の違いが浮かび上がります。

語学講座というよりも、写真祭の中のプログラムとして、 「写真について話すための言葉を少し増やしてみる」 「他の言語で写真を捉えてみる」 そんな軽やかな視点の共有を目的としています。

韓国語の知識は不要で、写真や視覚表現に関心のある方であればどなたでも参加可能です。

The daily activities that have been repeated again and again settle into each place, gradually permeating it, until eventually the place begins to breathe in its own way. This presence is sensed unconsciously through our skin, through touch, before it is ever articulated in words. I understand this as “a priori” — something innate, not derived from experience — and express it by overlapping it with the vegetal elements that are inherently embedded in the human body. In this workshop, we welcome mind-and-body awareness navigator Yuko Hirayama to the space of gobangura, a storehouse in Karasuma Gojo, Kyoto, which has stood there for approximately 130 years and continues to mark the passage of time. Within this space, we create a cycle that connects the “skin” of the kura — its walls, pillars, and beams — with the skin depicted in Yoko Mazuki’s photographs, the skin of each visitor who steps into the space, and the reciprocal exchange between the visitors’ skin and the skin of the kura itself. From this circulation, the workshop seeks to open forms of perception other than vision — senses that, in our increasingly vision-dominated contemporary world, are in danger of being left behind.

キム・ウィロ 

キム・ウィロは済州に生まれ、啓明大学校美術学専攻の博士課程を修了した。

2021年には 大邱フォトビエンナーレ主題展《欠落したアジェンダ―37.5の下》でコーディネーターを務め、2023年に国際写真映像展《New PhotographicImage》、2025年に《ゴースト・メモ リー:失われた時間への旅》に参加した。同年、《K-青年写真映像フェスティバル:視線が 描く地平》のキュレーターとして活動した。

Kim Euiro

Born in Jeju, South Korea, Kim Euiro completed the doctoral coursework in Fine Arts at Keimyung University. In 2021, She worked as a coordinator for the main exhibition Missing Agenda – Below 37.5 at the Daegu Photo Biennale. She participated in the international photography and media exhibition New Photographic Image in 2023 and in Ghost Memory: A Journey to Lost Time in 2025. In the same year, Kim served as a curator for K-Youth Photography & Media Festival: Converging Horizons
